Oaklawn Hospital

On January 21st, I visited the emergency department at Oaklawn and had an exceptionally positive experience. The staff demonstrated remarkable kindness and provided outstanding assistance. I received excellent care and would highly recommend this facility. I firmly believe that one's positive demeanor often elicits a similar response from others. I would like to extend a special commendation to Nurse Kat, Fran, Dr. Yetman, James, who performed the EKG, Kristen, who drew blood, and any other individuals whose names I may have inadvertently omitted. Thank you.

I had the most incredible experience here. I came in rough shape and Dr. Johnson, Dr. Gaffga, Harley, Jen, Gracie, and Dakota took such good care of me. The facility was incredible. It’s very obvious there is order, well established operations and procedures, and a super high standard of care expected here. Kudos to everyone who helped me and management is doing something so right. Oaklawn will be here to stand the test of time and establish itself as one of the best hospitals in the country if you continue in this direction. Every one involved during my check in, pre procedure, the Dr, anesthesiologist, and nurses, were easy to listen to and genuinely thoughtful that I understood and if I had any questions..I'm particularly glad that Oaklawn hasn't been bought out by some larger corporation....keep up the good work..!!!

My husband visited with a dog bite (pit bull). My neighbors was with him and bitten too as these were her daughter's dogs. They went around 10 am. They weren't released until 4 pm!!!! My poor neighbor laid there all day and they didn't get to her until after 1. Nothing for pain, no food or drink offered ALL DAY. My husband was treated a little more quickly. The next day he had red streaks climbing his leg. He said he wouldn't go back to the ER. I cleaned his wound and said the bottom teeth punctures on the back of the leg look infected. He swears they never saw, cleaned or treated the back of his leg, just the inside where the top teeth tore. Three weeks later he returned because wounds were still weeping. This place is a joke, a friend of mine went in for a messed up back, the e.r. did 0 test we sat there for 30 minutes they came in gave her a shot in each butt cheek and sent her home with a prescription. They never gave her a good faith estimate, never gave her any test at all. They was only in the room for 5 minutes total. No emergency transport or anything and they want her to pay 2k when they did not perform ANY test. So they want to charge her $1000 per shot for a miner pain med and a muscle relaxer and a litocane patch thats $12 over the counter at the local store 🤔 they emailed her to collect payment a week later with no charge sheet just a email that says they want 2k and all they did was give her 2 shots and no test at all. We want to know why it's so much when they did no test at
