Oak Manor Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center

I visited a friend in rehab this week. The building is old, but it was very clean. I was greeted immediately by the front desk person, who showed me the way to my friend’s room. I watched physical therapy and found it to be very well done. Every staff member I met was extremely cordial. My friend said that the food is great.

DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS HERE. THEY DO NOT FOLLOW PROPER PROTOCOL. It is 10:42 pm Wednesday October 22nd and Luwanda is still not letting us see my mother in law. Her excuse is that my brother in law told her not to let my husband see his mother. There is not an injunction, restraining order, nothing formally written saying that we cannot see my mother in law. We have been dealing with this incident since 7PM. Oak manor told us that there was an alleged injunction, we called law enforcement and received a case number and confirmed that there was not any type of injunction or police report saying anything that we cannot see our mom and they are still not letting us see her. We have called the police to escort us in because the staff is not letting us see or retrieve our family mem

First its very difficult to chose a care facility for a loved one after a hospitalization. Quality of care and cleanliness are critical. The facility at Oak Manor itself is a bit tired aesthetically (its far from fancy) but the team does a great job - first kudos to the housekeeping team. The do an awesome job on the rooms and public spaces - Someone warned me that a tell tale sign of a bad facility is the odor and Oak Manor really keeps the facility clean. In addition Oak Manor is not in an evacuation zone which is a huge plus for Florida. One negative is the food is really not great in the rehabilitation area; I have heard the independent living area clubhouse food is much better THE STAFF IS AWESOME AND ARE TRULY EXCEPTIONAL CAREGIVERS. My mother in law has been at Oak Manor since May 2016. Our experience at Oak Manor has been awesome! Helping my husband make the choice to place his mother in skilled nursing was hard at first but after visiting with the staff it was clear this was the right move. Kim and Holly were very responsive to all our questions of which there were many back then. Move in day couldn't have been easier and felt welcoming, at first being in a new place was hard on my mother in law. My mother in law really likes where she is and refers it to home. The campus is quiet yet there are a lot of activities planned! I would recommend Oak Manor to anyone looking for a positive community.

I’m actually shocked at the bad reviews on here. My mother has been there since 2016 and has received nothing but the best care. The regular care reports that I get are informative and I am always kept up-to-date by the staff. In comparison to the other facilities I have visited there is no comparison. Whenever I visit, the facility is always clean, well maintained, and well staffed. I know my mother can be a very difficult person to take care of, but the staff loves her. They take very good care of her and I feel safe and confident with my mother there. as I said, she has been there since 2016 so she was there through the pandemic and the staff and facility took excellent care of her. People need to understand it’s a skilled nursing facility not a five star hotel. The staff works very ha
