Novant Health Urgent Care – Northwoods (Formerly Doctors Care)

I went to the Novant on Rivers Ave and everyone was great.I'm not from Charleston and was happy that I got the help I needed. From the front desk to the PA Danielle Oshea was great.The nurse was so sweet I love how she played with my granddaughter making her laugh. I didn't have to wait long and I felt so much better by the time I left. Everyone was so nice to me and my grand child. There positive people and the doctor does everything to help you. Thanks again for going above and beyond. It means a lot if I'm visiting family again and get sick I will sure come there first. Highly recommend setting up appointment on line, my wait was less than 10 minutes when I arrived. The doctor was very thorough listening to my concerns and the med she prescribed. My only complaint was that they didn't tell me my test result would take couple days because I was expecting to get a call before they closed.

Staff is professional, respectful, and they are great at their jobs. How do I know? Because I'm also in healthcare. Highly recommend the Northwoods location if you ever need it.

I went to this urgent care when I was really sick and struggling to even sit up. I filled out the front page of the pre check-in forms and handed the receptionist my driver’s license and insurance card. Instead of offering any help or understanding, she told me, “Honey, you must fill the back page too,” in an unkind tone. I was too unwell to continue, so I ended up leaving without getting any help. It was very disappointing, especially when someone comes in sick and needs compassion.

I appreciated I was able to book an appointment online that day and pick a time appropriate for myself. I was also called two days later to see how I was feeling. No one does that anymore!
