Norton Community Hospital

If I could give the E.R. a 0 I would. My MIL was seen on 2/8/2026 by Marie A Hurd. She did a CT scan because my MIL was having severe pain in her head with nausea and fainting. She diagnosed her with sinuses issues and the dry heaving caused the headache. They sent her home. My MIL had to call the ambulance the following day to go back to the hospital. When I arrived I asked if she could be transferred to Bristol Regional. I was told No. I asked if someone could review her CT scan. I was told No. They proceeded to tell me they could send her home or admit her also the hospital Dr. could do more tests. I wouldn't let them release her like she was. She couldn't walk. The hospital Dr. ordered an MRI. My MIL had had a stroke and she was having it while in the hospital the night before and they

I was in the hospital from December 17th until I was transferred to the Skilled Nursing Unit on the 31st. I was treated like I was a VIP by everyone. I have no complaints about my stay they even fed my husband while he was there at the nurse’s request.

Took my mom to the ER and was graced by Dr Hodges. He looked homeless, was rude, refused to treat my mom for hypertension, my mother was not even hooked up to heart monitor or bp monitor. I had to do this! No one ever came to check on her. They came to discharge her. I said no! We haven’t even seen the Dr and no one has rechecked her bp. He said yes they have it’s different on the monitor- I said yes because I have been monitoring it! He got good ole Dr Hodges who entered the room ready for confrontation and was arrogant. He said her bp is down and I said yes but she will go home and it will go right back up. I am very concerned- what if she has a heart attack or stroke and his response was well it’s not at this ER son that isn’t on me. Ok really what a jerk! No bedside manner. I was check

Labor and Delivery was great! They took good care of me and baby. Dr Morehead was kind and knowledgeable, he seems to enjoy his work and takes great care of his patients. Nurses were compassionate and attentive. I never had to wait for anything. My husband was welcome to be there with me at every step. They were a blessing, and I can't wait to have my next baby there.

I was in for a chemical stress test, I was nervous, Mr Reynolds was professional, kind, funny and explained the entire process. His nurse was ABSOLUTELY an angel. She put me totally at ease. Between the two of them I was calm and well fed 😊
