We were treated kindly when we checked in and at each step before being seen by a er dr. The waiting room was extremely full but it's a hospital and the staff does their best to try and get people in quickly. Unfortunately the wait time was long but they were very apologetic and they have signs all over the waiting area explaining they take people back by the severity of your condition. I would think being a dr is a hard job because there are so many sick people and while each one of us is a top priority we all can't be seen at the same time. Which means people will feel they don't matter when in fact they do. Anyways we waited for 2.5 hrs and I would still recommend people come here. The staff really cares at least during the late night/ after midnight shift. Some hospital staff gives att
Horrible, painful, filthy, rude ER experience! I came in because I passed out and was concerned that I had a seizure at 4pm yesterday. I arrive around 6:30. They tested me for everything except seizure. I read the intake notes and half of them say exactly the opposite of what I told them. They just ignored everything. They left me crying in pain for hours and told me “I’ll let the Dr know, be right back” (and it was NOT busy) but the rude and unprofessional Dr. didn’t bother to grace me with her presence until 3am (Dr. Kristen Doherty). It wasn’t until 2:50 they finally offered me something for my intense headache but by then I didn’t want it so I could be clear headed to speak with the Dr. They never offered it again afterward, they just left me in pain(photos of my eyes nearly swollen s
We come to this hospital for my dad’s surgeon, Dr Quayum- who is amazing. However, the inconsistency in care, specifically between nurses, physicians, and orders/rules make the process very stressful. The worst situation we had was with a nurse named Emily who was the charge nurse for his floor when he was in 4720 on 2/22/26. She barged in the room while his nurse was administering meds, did not introduce herself, and rudely accused me of unhooking his NG tube and spoke down to me. I literally came in at 7:30 am and the NG was clamped as he was walking. I never had touched the NG. She then continued to go on about how we had to have doctor’s orders to do anything. We were well aware of this, as after this, we asked Madison his nurse to ask the PA of GI to see if the tube could stay clamped
I brought my Dad to the ER in bad shape, had difficulty breathing and blood pressure extremely high. They got him in very quickly and started on tests right away. All the Doctors and Nurses were SOOOO nice and knowledgeable. My Dad enjoyed the food too. I highly recommend this hospital. All these negative reviews make me laugh, they must have been at Silver Cross and posted on the wrong page.
Omg this hospital is one of the best I've ever been too. Sadly, I had to come to the ER two to three times this week, just because everything came back negative but they really did a A thorough job. Although the pain was still there, I decided on the third visit I had to be admitted as a precaution. But from the triage to the ER staff and even the admitting room, every single one has been amazing. I don't understand the bad reviews, they look like they're a few years old It looks like northwestern took over And they turned this place around because I can't find a single bad thing to say about them. I loved it. I highly recommend this hospital during this week I tried different ones and nothing compares to Palos northwestern hospital. If I could give it 10 stars I would high five to all the
