Northwestern Medicine Immediate Care Old Irving Park

Review written 12/17/2025. Free parking in parking deck for patients if you get your parking pass validated. Nurse practitioner in immediate care prescribed me some antibiotic that when I went to the pharmacy, the pharmacy flagged it as interacting with my ALLERGIES on my chart and so the nurse practitioner prescribed me something that I’m basically allergic to. She seemed very nervous and flustered and she seemed very unsure of her own medical care. However I had a great experience in the outpatient lab. The lab technician had beautiful calming music playing and a Bluetooth jumping water display and she was very kind and friendly and calming demeanor.

This a beautiful facility and the receptionists are very nice and welcoming. I've been here before for both of my kids from an ankle sprain to upper respiratory infection. Every nurse and doctor that i have encountered have been very helpful and compassionate. This is the only immediate care I would go to.

Dr. Salgado has a great bedside manner and was very thorough when I came in due to a concern. I especially was very pleased with the nurse Barbara who was extremely kind and patient with me since I am someone who is very anxious in medical settings and she was such a sweetheart and understood and made sure I felt very comfortable. She really made me feel at ease and I really appreciate it. 10 stars, she deserves the best.

This will be my go-to urgent care moving forward. Wait time was reasonable. Everyone was extremely nice, helpful, and professional- the desk staff, nurse, and RN. There is in-suite radiology and other imaging that I couldn't make out, probably cardio tests and CT? Meaning you don't even need to leave the urgent care to get imaging. I know there's also a "new and good" MRI machine upstairs. NM has all the toys. I was in and out in under 2 hours, and got vitals taken, urinalysis, viral swabs, and chest x-ray, and a diagnosis (so they must have had a radiologist read the imaging SO quickly) and prescription. Your standard copay/ coinsurance/ deductible mess will apply. I agree that sucks - we should have free universal health care - but it's not the clinic's fault we have a horrible syste

Very disappointed with my experience at Northwestern Medicine. I took my mom in because she was feeling unwell. We paid a high fee upfront for the visit, only for them to later send a bill for $80—supposedly for the same visit we already paid for. They also charged for a urine test that was never done because the doctor said everything was fine. There was no transparency about the costs, and we feel misled. This is unacceptable, especially when dealing with people’s health.
