Northwell Health Physician Partners Smith Institute for Urology at Garden City

Update- its been over 10 days and no one from northwell attempted to fix this situation. They put my health in risk. I went to the northwell smith institute of urology at garden city yesterday for a uti issue. The intake nurse (name I was not able to obtain, but looks Spanish dropped an empty urine collection container on the bathroom floor in front of me. I specifically requested a new container. This person pointed to the cup and said the container was already labeled and i had to use the contaminated cup and refused to give me a new cup. I was forced to use that cup. When providing the urine sample, the contaminated cup made contact with my skin and private parts. I was panicking and shaking then entered the exam room and the Hispanic nurse checked my vitals. I saw a provider at this location and was scheduled for additional testing. 3 phone calls later to follow up I was given an appointment. On the day of my appointment in January they called to cancel due to flooding in the office. I have called 5 times since January trying to reschedule and here we are 7 months later and I have yet to hear back. I called a different location for a different doctor yesterday and it turned out to be the same group of doctors. I was advised I would hear back from them today to schedule the appointment and there was no need to see a doctor again and still haven’t heard back. It’s a shame they take quality of care this lightly

My doctor recommended me to a specialist here because my problem needed a urologist. I went and she gave me the same std test as my doctor and then said there's nothing else I can do go back to your doctor. Smh how are you a specialist

The surgeons are the best they remove the kidney everything went well
