Northwell Health Physician Partners Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Bethpage

I got my 4 wisdom teeth out from here last month. Dr. Protzel was very chill and the nurse Christine was nice as well. I was so so nervous about the IV anesthesia, but once I got it, I fell right asleep. It was such a peaceful experience afterwards mentally because I felt amazing. It’s definitely a hectic experience though, with the excessive bleeding, limited diet, and taking care of the stitches sites and such. The nurse called me the next day to ask how I’m feeling and was very kind. The week after I went for my checkup and Dr. Protzel said I’m healing normally. My pain subsided within the first week as well, and it was just a matter of when my stitches would dissolve after that. I am now almost a month post-op and I feel great! I definitely recommend this place for getting your wisdom

Just left Dr. Protzels Office to have three wisdom teeth removed. As a 47-year-old adult I knew this was going to be an arduous task. I have been putting this off for sometime with fear of complications and pain and so on and so forth. The staff - super friendly and professional, the doctor - very humble and professional. I opted for the intravenous sedation, well worth the extra money. I literally didn’t feel a thing… 30 minutes later, he had all three wisdom teeth extracted. Couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. The price was literally half of the price I got in Queens where I live. Highly recommend this office. UPDATE - bleeding stopped the same night, literally no real pain whatsoever. Took the prescription painkillers the first day but only half doses. The only issue is

I can not explain how nice everyone was in this office!! The women in the front who booked my appointments, dealt with my insurance and questions that I had before my surgery were all very sweet and accommodating. It was a pleasure speaking with them each time! Assistant Kathy & Doctor Protzel were AMAZING! I was extremely nervous about my dental implant and they were nothing but professional and caring. They walked me through each step of what they were doing and checked in on me a to see how I was doing. They're the best! I would highly recommend anyone to go to this office!!

Absolutely amazing experience overall! I had wisdom tooth pain come on quickly, and was desperate to start the process of getting them checked out and removed. They were able to get me a consultation appointment RIGHT away, whereas many of the other offices I was calling I had to wait a minimum of a week. (Not ideal for the amount of pain I was in!) Once they determined I needed my wisdom teeth taken out, they scheduled the extraction appointment a couple days later, and had many times that worked with MY schedule! At the time I had started a new job so there were changes in my insurance. One of the secretaries contacted my insurance company FOR ME while I was at work to sort everything out. 10/10, a great experience from the moment I called to the moment I left the office after my check-up visit. The ladies at the front desk are fantastic - they eased my nerves right away, were super kind over the phone and in person, and got me into an appointment right away. Dr. Balacky was also great! He answered my questions and explained the procedure for me. I could tell he had read through my file/info before my appointment, asking relevant questions about the medications I was on. I felt like I was in good, competent hands the whole time, which made the whole situation 100% easier to deal with. The process wasn't bad at all!
