Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care

I was a walk in and didn’t have any wait time at the time I arrived (Monday late AM). The receptionist was efficient in asking for my documentation and primary concern, then promptly directed me to a room. I was seen right away by a nurse for vitals and initial information then PA (Michelle), who quickly found the issue with my rash and sent prescriptions to the nearest pharmacy. She followed up to ask if I had any questions and when to seek additional help/emergency care. Overall it was a quick, friendly experience, and I recovered quickly.

Northwell Health Go Health is the best Urgent Care in Astoria in my opinion and the only one I would visit. The facilities are spotless and all of the personnel that work there are very kind and professional. I have always received a very thorough work-up specifically tailored to my symptoms. I received a very accurate diagnosis with specific instructions to address my problem, and I was up on my feet again feeling great in two days. It was very reassuring to find out that my symptoms were not related to a heart attack, which was what I was afraid it was, without having to be hooked up to an IV and waiting all night in an ER. Based on my experience and those of other family members, I highly recommend this facility!

Check-in was easy and quick, with minimal wait time. The facility was clean, and the staff was phenomenal. S. Vendome, Physician Assistant, listened carefully and made me feel comfortable and reassured, even though I was feeling very sick. I left feeling confident in my decision to go there. Highly recommended.

Upon arrival, I informed the receptionist that I had been transferred from the LIC Location . Although other patients who arrived around or after me were properly signed in, I later discovered that I had not been entered into the system. As a result, I experienced an extended and unnecessary wait until staff had to contact someone for assistance to correct the issue because I insisted them to tell me what they had to do in order to corrected that’s when the xray woman decided to take it serious. Stephanie was also acting unprofessional. Additionally, during the intake process, the receptionist handled my phone in a rough and inappropriate manner by repeatedly striking it against the counter. When I asked her to stop, I was ignored. When I later requested a visit summary prior to leaving,

The doctor I saw was dismissive and didn't give me proper treatment. I had an open wound and he gave me only oral antibiotics when I should have gotten oral and topical. Because of this I developed an abscess that required a second trip to a different urgent care. They were shocked that they allowed this to happen and finally to gave me the treatment I should have been given the first time.
