I had a very disappointing experience with the reception staff at this office. I arrived on time, checked in, provided insurance (which had already been uploaded), paid the requested co-pay, and was seen by the doctor without any issue. Only after the visit, I was told at the front desk that my insurance was supposedly “not accepted” and was handed a self-pay form to sign. When I asked why this was not communicated before the appointment, the receptionist became rude, aggressive, and intimidating, repeatedly stating that a bill would be sent to my home and pressuring me to pay. This was handled in a very unprofessional manner. Shortly after leaving, I received a notification that my co-pay payment had been canceled. Update: I received a follow-up call from someone who was sincerely apologetic, thoughtful, and direct. That conversation completely changed my perception of the situation. The way it was handled made all the difference for me to give them another chance. Problems can happen anywhere—that’s part of life—but what truly matters is how they’re addressed. In this case, the response made me feel heard, valued, and respected. The ladies at the front desk are just rude. Making patients want to seek another office for care. I came in 1 minute late and the young lady said the doctor could not see me, after calling to inform them that I would potentially be late. If you're working in customer service, be ready to serve. There is also a way to say that doctor cannot see you, without being rude and short. I hate that we have to spend so much time, money, deal with health issues and THEN we encounter someone like this.

I had an appt at 9am. I was coming from stockbridge and I left my house at 7:30. Directions said it was gonna take me an hour and 30 minutes to get there. I call them as soon as they open at 8am to inform them I will be late. When I get there the front lady was rude and said the doctor said she won’t take late patients and nobody told her I was gonna be late. They don’t care anything about the patients that is why I will be going to Emory from now on.

Northside heart used to be top shelf about 10 years ago but they have gone downhill big time, the staff is incompetent beyond belief, perhaps the worst I’ve ever seen, impossible to deal with, it would take far too long to describe all the buffoonery that I’ve witnessed in my most recent encounter, Ive had it, time to jump ship
