I did not have a great experience with this location, unfortunately. The front desk staff always seemed to be bothered by patients arriving to check-in or ask questions and I dreaded needing to make a phone call to the office. In my first visit with Dr. Riester, he told me he didn't think I was actually allergic to the food I have been allergic to for years? Despite several bad reactions to eating that food, ER treatment, and many years of seeing other allergists in other states with this consistent diagnosis. Then he offered no follow up with what he thought I should do with that information.

This was probably the worst experience I have ever had at a Doctors office. The Doctor was so dismissive and abrupt that I cannot even believe I am going to pay for the appointment. My goal was to get help refining my skin allergies beyond what the dermotologist was able to do. I was basically told if I get relief with taking Zyrtec or other allergy meds my condition is solved and perhaps I can get my thyroid checked. Otherwise, go into Boston to see a specialist for more skin tests because the allergist office only does 16 more patch tests than the dermototlogist (so 96 vs 80 allergens) and that won't help anything. My thoughts are, what if 1 of those 16 things is the reason I am still itchy? Seems like an easy thing to just test since I am there anyway. In the meantime, I was instructed

We got my infant daughter tested for allergies as we began introducing solid foods to her system. They performed a skin test, and ordered blood work for further confirmation of one particular allergy. When I asked them to recommend places for me to get specialized infant bloodwork done, they told me to go to any generic lab like quest diagnostics. Fair enough for adults, but my 6 month old? I have more hesitations. We did go somewhere generic as advised and left with two pricked arms and a face full of tears with no blood drawn since they couldn’t find the vein. After receiving results about 1.5 weeks later, no one called to follow up even though I called the office multiple times to inquire. This place had the most cavalier attitude towards my child’s care. It just felt like they couldn’t be bothered. I’m a medical professional and am shocked by the disorganization and lack of follow up. They recommended we do an allergy ladder at home by ourselves with very little guidance. Our pediatrician told us that this should have been be done in the office. Our daughter had a bad reaction.

Very professional but also very personable. I had a surgical metals test for a knee replacement. While involved a number of trips to different facilities over 4 days, all was well coordinated and efficient. Two thumbs up.
