We waited in the examination room 1 hour before the NP arrived. Never mentioned the delay or even apologized! Extremely rude and unable to finish a question without her cutting me off!! Bedside matters or compassionate not in her voluntary or training. Maybe retirement is in her favor

Everyones nice, but I had terrible experiences. Dr Pierce sent me for a colonoscopy after I told him of a family history of prostate cancer, and I had to inform him that the prostate is not in the colon. My interactions were entirely with the nurse who checked me in, and Dr. Pierce just came in with a stack of referrals with no questions and no conversation. That "visit" with him cost $251. I also got charged for a "mental health assessment" that I did not ask for. It consisted of the nurse asking me a couple of questions. When I replied that I've been feeling down, anxious, and stressed, there was no follow up (except the bill). 3 months later, I continue to get random bills and charges. I have most often have been seen by Jon Allen, Physician Assistant. Having moved to Kaua’i from Washington, DC. after retiring as an Occupational Therapist, I was a bit skeptical on the quality of medical treatment I would receive on island. I found Jon Allen extremely knowledgeable, listens and works with you to formulate an effective treatment plan. He has extensive medical experience working on the East Coast. The office staff are kind and efficient. Often questions I direct through the automated messaging system are answered within a few hours. I highly recommend this practice!

1. Took 8 weeks to become established as a new patient and even be able to make an appointment (required mailed in forms and a long processing time to hear back and get scheduled). 2. In person appointment with Dr. Capelli was great. However, my bloodwork upon further review showed concerning things that are now coming to a head 6 months later and I wish that my bloodwork was actually reviewed 6 months ago so I could've gotten ahead of this health issue then. 3. No options for a virtual appointment or call with the doctor. Must come in for the appointment. I need a referral to a cardiologist at this point and they want me to come in - although it was clear I needed a cardiologist 6 months ago if my bloodwork had been reviewed. 4.
