North Florida Medical Center

My family had a good experience at this medical center in Gainesville, FL. My mom was part of their new blood cancer program, I believe she was their first patient going through it at this hospital. I was not there. My mom and dad were there and stayed in the hospital room for two weeks. Nurses and doctors taking care of them were very helpful, patient, supportive, and welcoming. Only complaint was the food. The chicken was uneatable, not even my dad would eat (He eats anything hahaha). But yes, the food was decent, just not the chicken. The staff did their best to accommodate to my mom and dad’s food selections. Overall, my mom and dad were very pleased with the care provided by their team of doctors and nurses. Thank you for taking care of my parents!

When I came into Your hospital I was unconscious and had to come by ambulance, so I had all my jewelry on when I got to the hospital. This is to include two necklaces one pair of stud earrings and a diamond and gold tennis bracelet. Well a nurse came out and gave my husband a denture cup that had in it to necklaces and a pair study rings no diamond Tennis bracelet. I called several people there at the hospital to try to get some help in finding out what happened to my bracelet but to no avail. My suggestion to them was to look in medical records look up the date that the nurse took off my jewelry find out which nurse it was an why she Didn't give my husband the bracelet. My mother went to ER in Millhopper with a broken hip and was transferred to North Florida Regional Hospital for surgery. We went straight to the 6th floor and was immediately taken care of by a wonderful person Tatiana. She took care of all my mother personal needs. She made my mom very comfortable, did not embarrass her when she was changing her gown, all in all treated us like family. That is priceless. Everyone else was fantastic as well. Very nice and caring. Tatianna, I can't thank you enough for all your help even when I was getting in the way. you deserve a raise Thank you
