North Carolina State Veterans Home - Fayetteville

I know this place was closed down for structual and environmental issues that were ongoing for years. Please tell me the rooms werent shared like in this picture on the site. If so that is unsat. It looks like a hospital room. Nobody at the end of their life should live like they came into basic. Even the Soldiers on base get their own room with a kitchen and bathroom. Give the elders their privacy especially since you have to help them get dressed and showers. Their HIPPA can not be preserved in a roomate type of environment. So when you rebuild this place Maybe keep this in mind.

My Uncle was in Hospice there. They were very empathetic and kind. He was cared for with Dignity and Respect. The staff is awesome and after he passed, they did an amazing tribute while his body was removed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Forever Grateful, Mrs. Carole Ricks

My dad has been at this facility for more than a year in the locked memory care unit. He's received truly stellar care - we couldn't be much happier! The facility is clean with good food, my dad is never dirty and receives very prompt assistance whenever he needs it. MANY thanks to the hard-working staff and crew who are taking such great care of him for us.

Zero Star!!! Heartless!!! Disgusting!!! The most unprofessional, uncaring, unkind administration and staff I've ever experienced in my life!!! Shame on each of them. I don't know how they sleep at night knowing how they treat these wonderful veterans (and families); that fought for the very freedom they enjoy every day. Speaks volumes about "Pruitt" since they allow staff like this in their veteran facilities. Pruitt must be proud the staff cares more about the profitable business than they do the care of their veteran residents, but the staff and Pruitt will all have to answer to a higher power one day. Things have been changing for a few years (all the good staff have left because they can't condone the corruption that is taking over this facility).

I was a resident there for 6m. I received physical therapy to get my body restored. The staff are helpful and attentive. The meals are based on a 2w cycle, it also is ever changing. The kitchen is open from 7-7 with a menu available. Meals served at 8, 12, and 5. Medication are given on schedule, approved by the resident Dr. Many activities available however bingo is most popular. Church services are held for many faiths and times.
