Niagara Animal Hospital

We had been bringing our dogs to this animal hospital for quite some time and trusted them with their care. That trust was completely broken. My dog started limping and was clearly in pain. We were told it was “just arthritis.” Over Christmas, while they were closed, she continued to suffer. When we reached out asking for additional pain medication to help her through it, we were told it would take a full day to fill despite knowing she had already been in pain and that access to care was extremely limited due to the holiday. Something didn’t feel right, so we made the decision to switch animal hospitals. Come to find out, it was never arthritis. It was bone cancer. The misdiagnosis, the lack of urgency, and the dismissive approach to a dog who was clearly suffering is beyond upsetting

What a wonderful animal hospital! The staff couldn’t have been kinder or more welcoming. They made time today to see my cat in an emergency even though he wasn’t yet a patient — but he definitely is now. I’m so grateful for their compassion and care. I can’t thank them enough and highly recommend them. ~ ♥️ Redmund

Recently had to put my girl off 13 years down. The staff was very compassionate and thoughtful they even sent us a beautiful card in the mail with their condolences signed by everyone their. They even came to the truck and carried her in for her appointment which was supposed to just be to check on her hip.

Thank you Dr Zimmerman and staff, for your kindness and understanding with our very difficult decisions we had to make in putting our 13 year old Amos to sleep. Amos was suffering from kidney failure and we didn't want to see him suffer any further. My husband and myself felt the staff and Dr were very respectful and caring, giving us peace of mind in our decision. We are truly grateful, blessed and appreciative for your kindness.
