I had four cars rear end me when I was 20 and 21. I am 56 years old now. I went to four doctors and they all said the same thing, but Dr Ram Mudiyam was the only doctor that actually was extremely detailed and did all the necessary tests necessary to make sure the surgery would be a success. I had my surgery on April 11, 2022. I went for my check up and he couldn’t believe how well I am doing. I listened to Dr Ram Mudiyam and did not do anything for six weeks and he allowed me to start Physical Therapy and I feel great. If you have any doubts, please don’t. This is the second time Dr. Mudiyam has repaired my back. First time 4 years ago. He is an excellent surgeon and was very straightforward with what he was doing. Recovery the first time was about one month. When my problem started again I went straight to Dr. Mudiyam and said let’s do it . He was very thorough ran a lot of pre surgery tests. I'm so pleased with the results of the hip replacement surgery done for me by Dr. Ram Mudiyan on Dec.1st, just 6 weeks ago. To be completely free from the severe pain I'd had for over a year and to be walking like a 'normal' person so quickly after surgery, felt like a real miracle. Ram is an excellent surgeon. He did my back laminectomy without having to use cumbersome steel braces , was able to fuse with just instrumentation. This should help with the recovery by a couple of months.

Dr Mudiyam performed a Microdisectomy at the L4, L5 level in mid November, installing a Co-flex device to maintain spacing and movement. The care, concern and skill of Dr Mudiyam and the entire Newport Orthopedic Institute and Hoag Orthopedic Hospital staff was off the roof! Having respiratory issues, I had to stay a couple of extra night at the Sand Canyon hospital. The additional care and expertise from other areas of the Hoag facility was excellent and very comforting to me as I was experiencing my issues! 3 weeks have passed since surgery and I am very mobile and pain free after over 40 years of constant pain and discomfort.
