New York State Veterans Home

If anyone wants to send their loved ones here be careful, there are nurses that talk about fighting other nurses, do deals in the parking lot, they let people sit in the parking lot for 5-8 hours waiting for their partners come out. One security person has their favorite people. The nurses are always on their phones. Once in a while they will have a random person walk in the parking lot that dont work there. So I would be careful.

We would like to Thank each and everyone of the Staff on Pine Wing Oxford Vets Home. They were so caring, nice and so patient with my father during his stay there. We could of never asked for such a wonderful home for him.They took such good care of him.. Sadly dad passed away Christmas Day. We were all there with him when he went to be with our mother. Thank you Corrina for being there for dad in his every need. ... To all, this is the home you would want your loved ones to live at.

My WWII Vet dad lived there several years before he passed at 93 years old. He received excellent care. The staff there right down to the cleaning staff care about the residents. The place is clean and bright. Food is good. They took him into Norwich to shop. They often had activities or visitors come in and play music or set up displays of one thing or another. I can't say enough about them. It's a shame all you hear about the VA is negative news. Kudos to the Oxford VA.

My father was a resident here for 3 1/2 years. His care was outstanding. As a matter of fact he flourish in the atmosphere provided here. His mental and physical health improved under their professional care. certainty

My father could never be taken care of as well as he has been at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford, NY in any other setting. All of the staff is caring, considerate, and engaged with the family and the residents. Cannot say enough positive things about this home for Vets.
