I went to see Dr. Mariwalla years ago when he first opened his practice in West Islip. He was a warm and very compassionate man. I didn’t have surgery at that time, but if I needed any surgery in the future, he would be who I would trust. Just read some of the letters in his office from some of his patients. He comes highly recommended. For example: A woman came into his office while I was in the waiting room, she was in horrendous pain. He saw her immediately, and at my next appointment I heard he sent her across the street to Good Samaritan hospital and operated on her that night. And then, went to see her AT HER HOME before he left for a vacation!! WHO DOES THAT???? He’s a well known neurosurgeon from Emory University hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. His reputation exceeds him!! Dr Mariwella was a life saver , I was in incredible pain and could hardly stand after my spinal fusion surgery I was still in a lil bit of pain and thought maybe I should be happy that I can move slightly . Dr Mariwella explained after that due to the surgery all the nerves were swollen and then after about 8 months stood up one day and absolutely no pain at all and could move freely .then next day the same thing no pain omg now to this day I can move freely painless , to be honest I didn’t think it was possible and was petrified the thought of back surgery because of all the myths I heard in past but Dr Mariwella was excellent and comforting staff as well I thank you all

I had an appointment with Dr. Mariwalla on Friday, November 15, 2024 in his Brooklyn office. My back issues are severe - I've been turned down for reconstructive surgery by HSS; They're THAT severe. The appointment went great. I brought a disc of my latest MRI of all three sections of my spine. He viewed the images intently, clearly pointing out the vertebrae that's smashed, the discs that are herniated and spinal cord issues that's are causing my arms/hands to fall asleep/lock up. In the exam room, he assured me that he *COULD* do a reconstructive surgery that would reduce my incessant chronic pain. He said he'd be able to do this before Christmas, but he wanted to show his three colleagues my MRI disc and make sure that his plan for my reconstructive surgery was the RIGHT plan. He
