New Dragon Acupressure

Went here for a quick 20 minute neck and shoulder massage and did not have the best experience. A random second person came in with a heating pad & started massaging my legs (why would I want that if I specifically asked for a neck and shoulder massage?) and then they tried to charge me $70 for that. $70 for a 20 minute massage is DIABOLICAL!! The upselling takes away from the relaxing experience..

My husband and I love New Dragon! They've always been so good to us. We enjoy their relaxation/deep tissue massages. Heavenly... The best part is they can always get us in last minute. *If you don't want any add-ons, just let them know up front.

The massage itself was good but they were trying to upsell every 5 minutes. It was distracting, annoying and really took away from the relaxation. It was also somewhat manipulative the way they were doing it. For example, she put a hot pad on my back. A few minutes later she asked if I liked it and I said yes. She said, "okay, good, that's $10 more". Wait, what, no thank you. There were a number of things like that. I didn't always understand what they were saying and charging, and I kept firmly having to say no. In the middle of my massage. I'm not going to go back.

I have been going here for many years and am a massage therapist myself. The person I schedule with deserves a 10 star review but the reason why I gave it a 4 is because I dont agree with how they trick people into paying more money by nonchalantly asking you if want extra stuff. They know me so they don't ever ask me but I hear them all the time asking other people who don't know their practice. Just so you know if they ever ask you if you want a second person or if you want a heat pack or hot stones or other things it's always extra. Always ask if stuff is extra to save surprises. If you are looking for a froo froo massage this massage place is not for you, go to a spa. You do need to tell them if the pressure is too much. They usually ask but if they don't and it hurts they generally

I went here a week ago for my first time and I loved it. The massage was great! My massage therapist was Mike and I’m already planning when I’ll go back to see him. I have a sore neck and shoulders and after the massage I had no pain for a whole week. I only got a 30 minute massage but I bet I’d be feeling even better with a 60 minute one. The upselling was a little different but if you just say “no, thank you” they leave you alone. Thank you Mike!
