Unfortunately, our interactions with Rachel were deeply concerning. From the very beginning, Rachel made it clear through her behavior and comments that she did not like working with individuals with disabilities. Each time she had an encounter with my uncle, she would raise her voice at him and speak to him in a belittling manner. As a family member witnessing this, it was painful and unacceptable. What worried us even more was hearing her openly say to other staff members that she would work to have my uncle removed from the facility. My son was cared for at this facility, and from the very beginning, the staff gave us something many others did not—hope. When others said he would not thrive, the team here stood by him and helped us see otherwise. The nurses, therapists, and support staff treated my son as if he were their own. My brother received truly exceptional care during his stay at Neuro Restorative Garden Grove, and I cannot say enough about the incredible team there. From the nurses to the administrative staff, every single person treated him with compassion, patience, and respect. They went above and beyond to make sure he was not only comfortable but that his individual needs were understood and met with genuine care. The nurses, cooks, activity coordinator, and Farsa, the physical therapist, were truly wonderful. They were kind, caring, and clearly dedicated to their work. Their compassion made a meaningful difference during my sister’s stay. Unfortunately, our experience with the administrative staff, particularly the office and the administrative nurse, was frustrating and disappointing. During the initial tour, the facility appeared well-organized and supportive, which gave us confidence in choosing it for my sister's care. I just want to shout out the whole crew of Garden Grove. They put in the work!! From the very top the big lady boss…..she is always walking around and speaking with the patients all the way down to Activities,housekeeping, the kitchen and ADON and office manager, they make you feel seen and heard… you know! You can always go in their offices they always had they doors open. I’m young so it was hard for me but the team always had my back even when I was at my lowest point.
