Doctor Kolb is a wonderful human & doctor & actually wanted to try. The front staff however- ha. I found my way to Dr Kolb for post cancer follow up and clean up post treatment and surgeries. He took all the time to describe, answer, and connect all the dots as possible or needed. He was working with me on some chronic nerve pain, and I was working on regulating a new medication. I wanted to reduce but I kept getting the same line (from multiple doctors at hospital in different departments almost verbatim as if they were coached) I ended up pushing to come off the meds and walk it down as safely directed. When they rewrote the script they short sheeted it & did not renew it. So I went from max dose to 75% to 0 in a few days vs few weeks as directed. I attempted to email and call over
Not only is my doctor very rude and dismissive, but I’m pretty sure has completely misdiagnosed me. She doesn’t listen when I advocate for myself and it’s been a very stressful year since having my seizure. It’s obvious she has no empathy and really wanted to just get me out of her office. She just keeps upping my meds and told me I can’t take birth control. I am only 18. Yet next appointment told me I was wrong and misheard her. (A Dr telling you to end your BC is typically something that’s hard to misunderstand) I left feeling like she very obviously thinks I was stupid and completely wrong- about anything I say. In my patient notes she keeps writing that I’m emotional and difficult. But in pretty sure having a seizure at 18 is a justified reason to be teary eyed. I just really want t
You get 2 stars from the wonderful care I received from Dr Decker. Since she left, you’re clearly going downhill, and FAST. Your doctors never read charts, push pregnancy information despite chart history and clear requests that it is not relevant to me and traumatic to talk about, don’t listen to patient concerns about side effects from change of medication, just generally disrespectful. I know what’s going on in my own body and I shouldn’t leave every appointment crying. It’s worth the 3 hour drive to go to DH that I have to arrange a ride for and spend hours planning just so I can feel listened to, respected, and safe in my care. You guys need more doctors like Dr Decker, who actually care about their patients.
I had the same experience as some of the other folks here. In order to get an appointment they make you fax the referral and medical records. I had over 200 pages from various specialists that I paid $ to get faxed. Then when I call, they say they will take a few weeks to triage and call me back. Then when I call after few weeks they say they do not have appointments for 3 months or so. Folks on the phone are rude and unhelpful. Lots of red tape. My guess is UVM has dominance over the region and hence does not care so much cause they have plenty of patients who will put up with shabby treatment. Insurance companies should stop covering clinics like this.
This office has been prompt with getting my refills in order and I have rarely been scheduled more than 2months out since the 2020 pandemic. I like working with these folks! I'm docking a star because I've been swapped between a lot of providers in the few years I've been a patient, but the help I get and the people I do seem are all wonderful.
