My experience with Dr Livingston and PA Corwin VonderSchmidt is nothing short of a miracle. After 2 years of declining cognitive function, balance issues, and frequent falls, I finally met Dr Livingston and was diagnosed with Normal Pressure Hydrcephalus (NPH). In October 2025, Dr. Livingston and Corwin implanted a shunt. The result was positive and immediate. I feel like I've been given my life back. After 3 months I've had NO falls, I'm back to enjoying activities I had given up, and might even start flying again. The return of memory and cognitive function is hard to believe. I'm 77 years old, but feel like I'm 40. If i live to be 100, I wouldn't be able to thank Dr Livingston, Corwin, and their associates enough.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with April in the medical records department at this neurosurgeon’s office was extremely frustrating. She was dismissive, unhelpful, and came across as if she couldn’t be bothered to assist with a very important request regarding my records. Instead of offering clear guidance or showing any empathy, she made the process more difficult and stressful than it needed to be. In a medical office—especially one dealing with something as serious as neurosurgery—patients deserve compassion, professionalism, and accuracy. Unfortunately, my interaction with April was the opposite. Thankfully everyone else I’ve dealt with in the office has been fantastic.

Refused to see me due to a mistake on my ER records even though they had my other records from my pain and ortho clinic /MRI. I received a call from Dr. Livingstons office and they canceled 1 day prior to my appointment. I was in severe pain/ my leg and foot was weak, surgical intervention was needed. I tried to explain and no one was willing to help. I felt so defeated. Luckily my pain clinic helped me find a new neurosurgeon by sending asap referals. I ended up seeing someone new the following monday and was in surgery 2 weeks after. I could not believe Dr. Livingstons office I'm still in disbelief to this day. I know doctors have a right to refuse but their reasoning was not right/ did not make sense at all. I was seeking help and they were not willing to do so. It all worked out in

This office is such a welcoming place. I have never been to a Dr's office where I felt someone listened and cared as much as here. Dr. Gogela took the time to truly listen and took action immediately to try to diagnose my problem. The nurse was so kind and Terri, who scheduled tests and appointments was amazing!

I have been to numerous spine doctors. Dr. Gogela is the best doctor for spine surgery. He is extremely patient, kind and explains and answers all your questions. I am recovering from surgery done by him. I feel amazing. So glad to have him as my doctor.
