Ness John MD, PA

I recently moved to the area and wanted to establish care with a family doctor. This office was recommended by a coworker and I was scheduled with Dr. Vermeer…and I am SO glad. I grew up with a father as a family doctor and what I value most is kindness, patience and to be heard - all of which Dr. Vermeer provides with excellence. For both my initial visit and follow up, I felt cared for. Yes, the office is older, no frills, but that doesn’t bother me. This practice reminds me of the old school values of family care that are so hard to find these days. I’m so glad I found Dr. Vermeer.

I was a patient of dr Vermeer, but after seeing him, maybe twice, and since then I can never get in to see dr Vermeer. They always send me to one of the NP's or PA's. I am 68 yrs old and think I deserve to see a Dr! I was in there today, and after 1 hour, having a very painful condition, I left. The medical assistant was very disrespectful and voiced her "medical opinion" to me! I have been an RN for 35 years, longer than she has probably been alive, and don't want to hear her medical opinion! I will be switching to a different primary care Dr.

All my admiration and respect goes to Dr. Ness and all his staff. All of my thoughts of what a professional and adept healing/medical team would be were exceeded by them. Dr. Ness succeeds when others have fallen short. Much thanks to them all!

I rarely visit the doctor and have only been to this office twice in the past four years. However, over the past several months, I’ve had consistently elevated blood pressure readings (in the Stage 1 Hypertension range) taken on multiple occasions, including one at my dentist’s office. Given my family history of hypertension, I scheduled this appointment at the recommendation of my dentist to take proactive steps. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Despite the waiting room being empty, I waited nearly 30 minutes to be seen. When I finally was, both the nurse and Dr. Ness were somewhat condescending and dismissive. The doctor made a few sarcastic remarks and acted as if I was wasting his time, simply because my blood pressure happened to read normal during that specific visit.

I'm writing this review not to bash Dr Ness and the other doctors at his family practice facility, but to let people know of the rude staff receptionist working the front desk. My 82 year old mother and I are patients of Dr Ness and Dr Vermeer. My mother was feeling really bad so we went to see Dr Ness at his facility. My mother didn't have an appointment, but I figured Dr Ness would still see her if he knew she was there in the waiting room. Well, when we went to the front desk to let the receptionist know, the 1st thing out of her mouth was we don't see people without appointments, the 2nd thing out of her mouth was do you have insurance and if you do you can go to a walk-in clinic. She didn't even think to ask if my mother was a patient there, she just assumed we were off the stre
