I'm giving 1 star because just the process to get an appointment was awful. I spent 53 minutes at the phone just waiting to speak with a representative (with a recorded voice that was repeating me"your waiting time is 3 min" for 53 min... I found it hilarious). He doesn't take insurance, which was fine with me. First consultation is 585 dollars plus another charge for XR, which was also fine with me. The thing that I didn't appreciate is that you have to fax first your XR and after your case is going to be evaluated if it's suitable for the doctor.. I'm an Attorney and, honestly, as professional, I do not appreciate attitude and inconvenience that it creates in clients. Especially when you pay for the full service. I'm sure that he is a good doctor but all the process around him makes the
Love my Doctor, Dr.Shields. He has been amazing at answering all my questions and taking great care of me, his assistant Jessica Ramos has been great in helping me out with everything I needed from the doctor. As for the front desk, I spoke to someone in the front desk by phone today by the name of Nicole, she wasn’t very friendly. She sounded mad, when I asked my question she ignored me and didn’t say anything back just continued typing to the point that I had to say hello again to see if she heard me, she just told me to hold on very rudely. She sounded like she was hungover or didn’t have the energy levels to work. I just didn’t appreciate her unfriendliness. I also started taking PT there, my experience wasn’t that great.. They focus more on athletes then they do on a regular patient.
I had the same experience as another reviewer. I called and received a recording that said my estimated wait time was 1 minute. That was 30 minutes ago. All I wanted to know was whether or not the doctor took insurance. Total waste of my time.
Called to get an appointment but wouldn’t see me unless I got an MRI and sent them the results first. Got the MRI and sent the the results/report. Tried several times to get the appointment, left messages and never got a call back. Kind of a joke.
He helped me get full use of my arm again. I'll always be grateful to him for that. I had a good experience with him, his staff, whole thing. Expensive, but worth it -- I got my arm back.
