ER visit Beyond me as to why a previous patient with cardiac history wouldn’t have gotten an ekg or echo done when patient has symptoms of uri and trouble breathing, as well as why a dr would document in notes of symptoms patient did not voice. They need more caring conscientious staff in my opinion . Vital triage and nurses were wonderful. Dr was not that companionate

This review is specifically for Dr. Brophy in neurology. She’s great — 10/10 recommend. She’s knowledgeable, prompt, attentive, and validating. I love the pins on her coat, and I really appreciate that she never made me feel silly for asking questions and believes me when I describe my pain. I’ve had doctors in the past who didn’t validate my experience, so having one who does means a lot. I’m honestly super bummed I can’t keep her as my neurologist once my husband gets out. As for the rest of the hospital, it’s more of a you-get-what-you-get experience. At one OB appointment the midwife and corpsman argued a bit in front of us, which was awkward. Customer service isn’t always amazing, but I don’t think many of them really got to “choose” to work there and for the amount of “free” care yo

Rude staff both civilians and navy. Desk navy people are rude and cant seem to keep their face away from their phones. Navy officers seem to not have issues with enlisted personel being rude to paitents. The records personel seem to be incompitant or not wanting to do their job. Asked 2for my records aftrr the first time they failed to attach my xrays. Second time still no xrays. Wont identify themselves(wears no name tags). This hospital is rude and unprofessional. Fyi the va doesnt do emergency services. I dont inderstand how the navy doesnt know this??!

Worst ER facility I have been to ever! Had a So called Doctor Strohl get a corpsman and male nurse try to force me to stand up after I lost sensation in my legs and was unable to walk! I had excruciating lower back pain! She thought I was faking and denied getting me an MRI! Gave me muscle relaxers and told me to follow up with family medicine 3 days later! Family medicine female provider saved me by ordering a stat MRI which showed I two 7mm herniated disc in L4 &L5! It was at that moment I lost all faith in the military because I realize that doctor didn’t believe me because of my race!

ER kinda sucks. I've been there for migraines and kidney pain, and they dont have much sympathy for your pain. Make sure to exaggerate/emphasize as much as possible that youre in agony or else they'll just let you suffer. The ER staff and OB people were beyond wonderful, kind, and caring during my miscarriage though. They made a horrific experience as tolerable as they could. They also investigated the cause to the fuIlest extent possible. I am forever grateful for those doctors and nurses. The nurses and doctors in other areas of this hospital are pretty good in my experience as well. The ER doctor that made me drive home without real pain meds with a full-blown kidney infection can kick rocks, tho.
