MUSC Health Orthopaedics at Nexton Medical Park

I am a patient of Josh Whidby, PA, at MUSC Ortho. I visited him yesterday at the Nexton complex in Summerville, sc. It is a beautiful facility, the staff is efficient, friendly, and professional. Josh is a consummate professional who handles my health issue perfectly. I am confident in his care and highly recommend this office to everyone.

I was referred to Dr. Charles Daly after my then 13 year old daughter was involved in a car accident in September. We were told that her ligament tore off at her thumb pulling a piece of the bone with it. She went into a hard cast for about 6 weeks. We were then told that the ligament reattached itself including the bone to where it was supposed to be and to start with physical therapy which we did for months. Every follow up appointment with him we told him that her thumb was not getting any better. In February at our last appointment with him I asked him why she wasn't able to hold a glass of water, button her pants, or open a jar? I was told that she needed to continue with therapy and there wasn't really anything else he could do. After a couple more weeks with no change. I decided to

If you want to pay $191 for a “medical professional” to dismiss your pain and call you “quite rude” in the Telehealth phone call he was 2 hours late for…. Then go right ahead and waste your time and money on these clowns. They don’t care if you can’t walk or work or take care of your family and they will NOT listen to you. They just want your Money and to call you rude while you are suffering. This man literally told me “I’m from Canada it’s not my fault” regarding the price I was paying him to dismiss my pain. Don’t go here. Especially don’t go to Robert ravinsky. If you do, please make sure to record the entire visit for your lawyer.

New patient for a very nervous 7 year old was made for 1:25pm with Dr. Dow. - confirmed via text at 125 -- arrived on time and was told it was actually at 1:40. Okay, that's fine. Sat in the waiting room with all 3 of children for AN HOUR. Watched patient after patient come in, get seen, and leave. Maybe by a different provider. Don't know. But try explaining that to a child who just wants to know if she needs surgery. Not once did anyone let us know they were running behind, come out and apologize ect. I went to the desk several times to make sure we weren't forgotten about as several times and was reassured we were not and they'd be out soon to get us. Finally at the one hour mark, I walked up and canceled. That is when I was finally told the Dr was running behind - no clue on when

I saw Dr. Lawrence today and his assistant. The entire team was professional beyond my expectations. Radiology was fantastic, too. So happy to have a top rate orthopedic clinic here in Nexton!
