Mt. Auburn Urgent Care

Great staff. Went to the facility on Saturday, 12/4. From the easy registration process; greeted with a friendly voice and smile. In the exam room, the medical technician was very nice, friendly. The NP listened to me, gave guidance and wrote a prescription for the acute respiratory illness I’ve been struggling with for three weeks.

I went in for extreme flu like symptoms; nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chills. They did a covid/flu test and said it came back negative. The nurse basically said she didn’t know what it was and to keep drinking fluids and eat food and that if symptoms persist go to the ER. When I was leaving I asked for a note for work. The receptionist called back to the nurses office and confirmed when i could go back then printed me off a note that said I could return to work the next day. I was concerned because my symptoms were quite extreme and I was worried they wouldn’t just go away in less than a day. I asked the receptionist if the nurse could extend the leave by at least one day and she said no, no real explanation or anything and told me to just come back tomorrow if I still felt bad. I went to mt. auburn urgent care 3 days ago cause I wasn't feeling well.i left with no paperwork and no medicine called into a pharmacy or a hand written script of anything. She did not call the next day like she said she would with results from a culture she had done and further instructions. I got a phone call 2 days later than she said because I wrote a Google review expressing I was disappointed with the care I got and the Dr. Called me then lol, she called to argue with me and question why I give her a bad review! I kid you not lol so then she says she can send me over a prescription of antibiotics to my pharmacy 😭 ya know doc the point of going to urgent care was to avoid getting bad enough to have to visit the er so why wouldn't you simply write the antibiotics when I was there days

10 ❗️ Front desk staff were welcoming and helpful as was the tech who handled blood pressure and temp readings. Mary May Smith was terrific and got to the diagnosis and treatment very easily. She also suggested close by CVS for the medications. All in all an A+ experience.

My experience with Urgent Care was very thorough kind and efficient. I couldn't ask for better service. Thank you for being extremely helpful.
