Mountain View Healthcare

My mom is living here and has been for almost 3 years. She's deaf and they learned sign language for her. This is the BEST nursing home in the Ozarks. Their employees are the best, and they take wonderful care of the people living there. I'm so grateful.

This is a beautiful facility on some beautiful acreage with some truly amazing staff. When I first arrived, I was star-struck, I really was. The amenities and size of the place are awe-inspiring, they really are! THEN I started hearing about rules that have been implemented by the current administrator / social worker. Rules that directly deny some patients of their basic human rights. Upon arrival I was told that NOBODY leaves the property and that a strict smoking policy was in affect. I began informating residents of their rights to leave the property and to smoke at any time in designated areas. I was being treated for a bed sore that was so serious that I had to have 3 different surgeries. Then after surgery they refused to take me back!

Clean facility with caring staff. Sometimes understaffed, but most nursing facilities are. Most of my visits did not find any "nursing home smells". They do a good job of keeping it clean. Also, the staff works hard at caring for the patients. I can recommend this facility for this area.

Went to visit my dad. It seems pretty clean but the smells were really bad in his room. I used to work as a CNA so I know smells are normal but at that visit I had a headache by the time we left. People there seemed friendly.

Just left this facility. Went there to share in song. The Welcome of the Staff and the Residents found us leaving with hearts lifted and anxious to return and be blessed by their smiling faces again soon!
