Mountain Ridge Pediatrics

We have taken our daughter to Dr. Shelburne since she was born. Dr. Shelburne is amazing! She is so kind and truly takes her time. I never feel rushed when asking questions. My daughter felt a bit nervous about doctors around 1.5 years old. Dr. Shelburne let my daughter hold the stethoscope and the otoscope to get more comfortable with the tools she would be using. My daughter now loves going to see her!

My wife and I had our first child (a girl) a few months ago and at the recommendation of my wife's best friend we chose Mountain Ridge as our pediatrician office and I am glad we did!! Our daughter always sees Dr. Shelburne except a more recent appointment because she was sick. There was a slight struggle our daughter's first week of life getting back to her birth weight so we had extra appointments but I could tell Dr. Shelburne was on our side and just wanted to make sure she was putting back on enough weight which after a few days she was slightly passed her birth weight. Dr. Shelburne is wonderful, funny and down to earth! I like that there's the portal to view past visit notes, bills, etc and the text message system is very convenient! Dr. Hutton is phenomenal. We have worked with her for years and I always leave my kids' appointments feeling supported and validated as a parent. She provides whole-child recommendations and knows the resources in the area well. She trusts parents' insight into their children while bringing years of experience with kids. She is knowledgeable about neurodiverse children and what it takes for them to be successful. Front desk staff and nurses are always excellent, professional, and friendly. I cannot recommend her and this practice enough!

My husband and I recently had our first baby. Dr. Hutton has been so amazing at both appointments we’ve had so far. She never makes us feel rushed and answers all of our questions. She is so gentle with our daughter. She has been so helpful in this transition into parenthood and is full of knowledge. You can tell she truly enjoys her work. We are so grateful for this practice. All the staff have been extremely friendly as well!

As always we love our visits with Dr. Hutton. She has seen all 3 of my kids, 2 since they were infants. She is patient and genuinely cares about her patients and their families. All three of my kids and major health scares and after being misdiagnosed elsewhere it was Dr. Hutton that figured out what was really going on and got us the treatment/specialist they needed!!
