This place is utterly disgraceful, and describing my disgust barely scratches the surface. I used to trust this practice enough to recommend it to my mother, but I had no idea how far it had fallen. The treatment my mother received here was appallingly infuriating. During her first visit, Dr. Bachour dismissively brushed off her symptoms. Despite her explaining her pain, including hospital visits and a swollen stomach, she was met with, "How do you know?" as if she didn’t know her own body. The hospital had advised her to follow up with her primary doctor to get referred to a specialist for bone cancer, but Dr. Bachour insistently claimed it was unnecessary. I have been a patient at Mt. Vernon Internal Medicine for 40 years and have always had a good experience. The doctors, nurses, medical assistants, and support staff are experienced professionals and provide exceptional service to their patients. I was a patient of Dr. Raymond Murow and after relocating, I am currently a patient of Dr. Alberto Herrera. Both are outstanding physicians. Dr. Herrera is terrific. He is very thorough and explains everything in detail. I trust his counsel and recommendations. His medical assistant Jennifer is very pleasant, courteous, and a true professional. I highly recommend their practice. Dr. Herrera and his team are the best! You will not be disappointed.

The Lorton office has incompetent staff handling checkin No 1--no one answers the phone I was on hold from 9 to 11 trying to verify Dr Gersh was in the Lorton office today as it was my first time seeing him I reguarly see Brenda Rolander there and she is amazing! I needed a preop exam for surgery and brenda doesnt do those--a fact the gentleman I talke with the day before was unaware --he said I couldnt get in for a week and it takes a week to get bloodwork back The hospital called them s=and was able to get an appointment with dr gersh the next day . surgery is scheduled for monday 12 jan Unfortunately while dealing with my phone to reach someone and with a broken arm, I missed a turn and had to backtrack ending up arriving there 2 minutes after their grace period and was refused th

These ratings were based solely on experience with the Dr. Gerst. I will NEVER schedule with him again and may leave the practice. This visit was for my 36-year-old son with special needs. The doctor did not even speak to my son. My son is completely verbal. The doctor only listened to my son’s heart, I’m assuming this as he didn’t even ask him to take a deep breath. All of my son’s test came back negative yet he came in with an N 95 mask on. I support the use of mask, but he stood so far away from us that it was uncomfortable. He tried to confirm things from previous appointments clearly without reading the content well because what he stated was incorrect. The front desk receptionist was extremely rude and disrespectful. I'm not sure why they hire people who have bad attitudes and act like they hate their job. A good quality when hiring someone that is dealing with patients is good customer service. At this location there is very little regard of this quality by the look of other reviewers mentioning the same issue.
