Mount Dora Medical Institute

This was the first time seeing the doctor. It was for a physical. I had some other issues with walking and numbness. He spent about 15 minutes with me Ordered a referral for an MRI and a neurologist. He said to come back in 30 days for a follow up. Had to call back several times just to get those appointments. Called back several more times and never got a call back. Took it upon myself to go to Mayo in Jacksonville. Had cervical stenosis and a cyst on my spinal cord. They perform surgery that next day. If I waited much longer, I could’ve had serious damage. The level of care that I received from Doctor Farinas was less than acceptable. Waiting another 30 days to see him could’ve cost me some of my physical mobility. I have a new GP in Jacksonville at Mayo.

Dr. Farinas and his staff are very professional and welcoming. They make me feel at ease as soon as I walk through the office doors. Not only are they friendly, but you are able to tell that they actually care about their patients well being! Additionally, the office is very clean and modern. Dr. Farinas is highly knowledgeable and I will certainly be recommending to others!

I brought my mother-in-law to see Dr. Farinas when she moved here to live with us to establish care. I was so pleased with the care and attention given to her by the ENTIRE STAFF!!! This team treated us like FAMILY!!! The care provided was exceptional (I am a RN so I know what to look for!). If you need a primary care physician who TRULY CARES ABOUT YOU, I cannot recommend Dr. Farinas and his team enough!!! You will not be disappointed!!!!!

Keep losing my blood work results. Even after I called lab and they submitted them to office. Can't even take a urinalysis to test in office. Walgreens carries basic urine test but not this Dr. Clearly in my opinion not ready for patients.

I’ve been looking at other reviews and I just wanted to say that Dr Farinas, has a terrible bedside manner because I had to Explain to him Why I needed certain medications for my condition, he gave me a look as if I wasn’t telling him the truth(It’s all in my medical record). I did not like Dr Farinas, Resulting in me changing my primary doctor ASAP. However, staff were great, but it’s just the Doctor was not good for my needs. I wanted to let you know that just because the doctor and I speak the same language, I’m not going to give him a higher approval or recommendation for him.
