Customer Reviews
I was recently hospitalized after a serious car accident, and I’m deeply grateful for the exceptional care I received. My neurosurgeon, Dr. Baum, provided outstanding expertise and reassurance. On the 5th floor, Thomas Gregory (day nurse) and Matt (tech) offered consistent, compassionate support, while Kayla, the lead nurse, was always organized, present, and helpful. My evening nurse, Charlotte, delivered wonderful, attentive care each night. I also want to acknowledge Rob Fusner, Jeneba, Mahendra with the Nutritional Services team, and the many others who stepped in whenever needed. Even with the challenges of short staffing, the teamwork, professionalism, and genuine kindness shown by everyone made a tremendous difference in my recovery. Special thanks as well to my “virtual assistant,”
Do not. I repeat, DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. They almost killed my daughter, they falsified her medical records and said she had schizophrenia and then start medicating her with anti psychotic while she was already in the ICU. They ignore my daughters concerns about vision problems for 2 days and when they finally did a cat scan they found microbleeding in her brain. They over medicated her with Propofol, daladin, zyprexa, fentynal, and over 50 other drugs or more. They denied me my POA rights to make decisions for my daughter when she lost her cognitive abilities. Then they proceeded to kick me out of the hospital for simply asking them for alternative drug options and then blamed it on a me recording a video of her to send to her father A WHOLE 2 HOURS EARLIER. I could say so
This review is specifically about PRE-OP care for outpatient surgery. I have waited over 2 months to see if I have healed and haven’t . For my IV I told Kathy that I had teeny tiny veins and needed teeny tiny needle -a22 unless had smaller. She said well you’re having a big surgery and need a big needle which was so painful. When I told her that she said yeah it will hurt. Then I had this incredible pain and she said I just ripped your skin off . And she left very quickly. Next day at home I pulled off gauze and skin came with it. Very long very deep wound that should have had treatment. I did call email etc Mt Carmel and it took weeks for someone to respond. No one seemed to care that I will be scarred for life. There should have been stitches instead of just putting gauze on it. A few wee
My mother received a very large bill from Superior Ambulance almost a year after an ambulance service and being transported from Diley Ridge Medical Center to OSU at the request of the emergency room doctor. Complaints have been filed with Ohio Dept. of Insurance, Centers for Medicare, and Aetna as well regarding this invoice and service. Mt Carmel and its affiliates should consider providing another ambulance company for their transport services as Superior Ambulance the worst and once again the patient is a victim
Waiting with potential abdominal dehiscence and swelling, being left to wait as if I'm just here to seek pain pills is insane. I dont even want pain management, I want to know if I need a second surgery or if my internal surgical site ruptured. They just leave people in pain waiting even if we never asked or wanted pills. Watching people who are laughing, able to walk and carry items, talking on the phone be called back before me says a lot about how seriously they take a woman's potential health issues. Edited to add update: they openly lied in their after-visit notes and the ER I went to afterwards got me into a bed right away because as it turns out, my symptoms are considered serious and emergent. Lawyer up if you go to MCE, they will give you substandard care and lie about it.
