When I learned at my anatomy scan that I had lost the baby, April immediately met me at my house within 30 minutes and explained my options. She held my hand and was constantly available. She coordinated my care at the hospital and came to my home and helped fold laundry while I cried. She knew all the right things to say and stayed in touch me. I had my fourth baby in December 2010. He was a VBA3C birthed at home with Christy by my side. I could not have asked for a better midwife. Early in my pregnancy, I was unsure if I wanted to pursue a homebirth in light of my previous births. Christy took the time to sit and talk with me at length, giving me time and space to explore my fears and hopes, and answer my many questions. I always looked forward to my appointments at her office--such a serene environment, encouraging conversation, lots of smiles, and belly rubs (I was often wanted to stay longer if it included more belly massage!).
