Many of the staff are incredibly caring and considerate. Some even 20-30 year careers here. I have been to many nursing homes and this one tries with a lot of heart and soul.

I posted about a year ago about Mother of Mercy when there were big issues. Just as life experiences change with time, so has Mother of Mercy. Some of the issues have been resolved and some staff members have changed or moved on to other endeavors. The atmosphere has improved greatly and I’m seeing staff enjoying their work here as well as most of the residents. I’ve been here for almost three years now and it’s more comfortable here. The new head of Assisted Living is very friendly and approachable and seems very interested in our needs and opinions. I’m much happier here than before and plan to continue to stay here and enjoy the community here. There’s so much to do in activities and such. Now I would recommend checking Mother of Mercy out. My husband was at Mother of Mercy for rehab for only three weeks. During his second week, the staff lost his hearing aids ($6,000), which were to be under lock and key when he wasn't wearing them. Not one thing has been done to compensate us or to hep us replace them! I was lied to repeatedly about how there would be an investigation (by the administrator), but there never was. They also lost some of his clothing - both shirts and pants. My husband would not eat the food there either. I couldn't wait to get him out of there. Don't go there! It's pathetic.

The MN Department of Health survey reports explain a few of the problems. Please do some research before choosing a LTC or Assisted Living facility.

The staff is very helpful and nice to us. After a week here we did get COVID and I spent several months in the ICU in St. Cloud and they were very attentive while we are quarrentine. Now it's been over a year since we moved into Mother of Mercy Assisted Living, and our feelings about this place are very mixed. Workers at this place are at a all time low in morale, low wages, heavy work loads, big turnover in staffing. Seems that the ones we like and appreciate because they treat us kindly and do the best to help us are fired. The food is mediocre, and it's not what we ordered off the menu. We have a good cook, but there's not much he can do with pre-boxed and bulk cheapest "food" that comes in. Sometimes our meals are okay, but many times items are missing with spilled drinks (juices and m
