Monument Health Box Elder Urgent Care

Excellent care and staff! Chelsey was very thorough and so kind. All of the staff, from her nurse, the xray tech, and Jacqueline were so nice! I also like the fact that if you need medication, it can be filled at Monument Health in Rapid City and it will be delivered to the Box Elder location for pickup with 24-48 hours. Very convenient. I am very pleased with the care I received and will definitely recommend Chelsey Watson to anyone who is in need of a primary care provider!

The staff was great and all but the check in kiosk is an absolute nightmare. The receptionist could easily register patients in a fraction of the time that it takes to manually input everything into the self serve kiosk. Monument Health needs to consider the older population when it comes to this kind of technology. You could easily give patients the OPTION to check in with the receptionist OR utilize the kiosk. Other than that, everyone seemed nice and the new facility looks great and is very convenient to have on this side of town! I'm hoping that you guys decide to let your receptionist check patients in just like every other location in town.

Nurse and provider were great. I was very off put by having to check in with the kiosk. I was given no option. I even told the receptionist that I don’t see the point if someone is sitting right there. She told me that it is more for privacy reasons apparently. Then to top it off I still had to go back and visit her and answer more questions. It seems the kiosk is an issue with a lot of people. The other urgent cares don’t have this. I think Monument needs to serious consider whether to keep the kiosk or not. I got one am just going to go to a different urgent care instead of this one even though I live in Box Elder. BHUC is much more friendly and personable.

Excellent service. The reason for the kiosk is accuracy and privacy. I appreciate not having to announce at the front desk in front of people my name and what's going on. Also fewer people have their hands and eyes on my debit card.

I went there and, I saw Chelsey Watson who is a CNP there and currently the only provider. She seemed very thorough and attentive, I was prescribed a medication by her. When I was discussing the medication with her I asked if there where any problems with this medicine causing a rise in blood sugar as I am diabetic, she assured me there was not.Upon getting the medication, I read the information given to my by the pharmacy and there is actually a warning on it that diabetics need to be very careful taking it as it raises blood sugar and A1c levels, Be very careful when getting medications from her and make .sure you read the information given to you at the pharmacy as ,at least with this provider, you cannot trust what you are told.The front desk and other staff where friendly and professi
