Damage done.... have an uphill battle now! Visited Monique with Novant Health Memory Care with my mother today. She scored 21 on a test she was given. 20 and below shows Alzheimer's. Because my mother scored 21 it showed mild cognitive impairment. I told her she repeats herself several times. Monique recommended MRI, sleep study because she has sleep apnea, B12 levels and neuropsychologist evaluation. She recommended a Social Worker to help if it was Alzheimer's to navigate the system even though she was told that my dad died a little over a year ago with Alzheimer's. Even though my mother showed cognitive impairment she told me she had the right to make her own decisions about her health instead of suggesting letting her family help her with making those decisions.
