I came to Alyssa with ongoing back pain that was starting to affect my running and everyday life. I love staying active, and it was frustrating to feel limited by something that just wouldn’t go away. From the first visit, Alyssa took the time to really evaluate how I move as a runner and identify what was actually causing my pain. She didn’t just hand me a generic exercise sheet — she created a plan tailored specifically to my body and my goals. Within a few weeks, my back pain improved significantly. I feel stronger, more stable, and more confident on my runs. I’m able to train consistently again without worrying about my back flaring up. Alyssa is incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging, and truly invested in helping her clients get back to doing what they love.

After 4 ACL reconstruction surgeries my knee was so severely damaged that for the next five years, I walked on the ball of my foot with a bent knee at 20°. My leg could not even forcibly be extended. I then had a Total Knee replacement. My friend & physical therapist Alyssa Rives with her superior knowledge and innate sense of rehab not only got my full range of motion and strength back following the TKR but I was able to participate in obstacle course racing, Olympic lifting, CrossFit and Ninja Warrior training again. Alyssa is the best!!! She is an extremely knowledgeable and compassionate PT who was so helpful to me postpartum. She made me feel so comfortable and supported throughout the process. Alyssa helped with my c-section scar mobilization, taught me how to properly engage my core and pelvic floor through specific exercises and correct breathing techniques, and gave me the confidence to safely return to movement. Her service is incredibly convenient since she comes right to your house—such a game changer when you have little ones! I can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for postpartum support or general PT care. She’s truly amazing at what she does!!!
