MinuteClinic at CVS

My care provider was Diane and she was amazing. She diagnosed me properly. Listened to all my concerns. Spent time explaining everything to me so I understood my treatment. She is incredible at her job and I will be going back whenever I get sick.

If I could, I'd leave negative zero stars. The doctor coerced me into getting a strep test for $196. I went in told her my symptoms AS SOON AS SHE HEARD THROAT PAIN she said it could be strep. I asked her what are my options, she pushed the strep. Then gave the warning that "now I want to let you know it could be 20% of the cases are strep" but continued to press on taking it. I asked again what my options were and she said well, if it's not strep it could be COVID and to not take the COVID test there because it was $120 and I could get it cheaper elsewhere. Then when she sensed hesitancy on my part she continued to push. Then the test came back negative and she's like well I told you it'd be 20% it turns out it was allergies she said but couldn't give me a definitive answer. I want a refu

I’m very disappointed with the lack of billing transparency and how my concerns were handled. At the time of service, I presented my insurance and was not informed that MinuteClinic was Tier 2 under my plan or that my plan only covers Tier 1 providers. No cost disclosure or Good Faith Estimate was provided before care. Weeks later, I received bills of approximately $362 per visit (myself and two children) after insurance denied coverage. Had I been informed of the cost or non-coverage beforehand, I would have sought in-network care. I contacted MinuteClinic billing multiple times requesting a reasonable adjustment due to the lack of disclosure, but was told the charges could not be adjusted due to “policy,” despite no insurance payment being made. I am so grateful for the quick, efficient and reliable option to seek health when I feel like I'm in a pinch and need to seek care now. I know it is not like a pcp where they record your whole life history, but when you're crunched for time and really can't stop to visit your pcp on the other end of town it makes me feel grateful to almost pop in to a clinic near where i am, at the end of my day, figure out whats going on with my ear or throat or any of the things cvs clinic can treat and be on my way ♡ Then start to feel better in the next 12-24 hours is just such a relief to have access to that kind of care!

I visited the Minute Clinic for my annual STD testing. Mrs. Diane was SO sweet. I would definitely recommend this CVS and in particular Mrs. Diane. Very sweet!! :)
