Never again. I came in with flu symptoms and had a very basic exam with a covid and flu test. The provider billed my insurance for laboratory work after the fact that was $100 out of pocket for me and several hundreds more paid by insurance in addition to the office visit copay. For covid and flu tests that are available over the counter for $15 or less? I pay for the "good coverage", low deductible United Healthcare plan through my job. I've never had this happen at any other walk in clinic or urgent care, but after fighting with insurance they said it's out of their hands what providers choose to bill. Worse yet is there is no legitimate customer service to speak to - after too much time spent waiting on their automated phone system I learned CVS MinuteClinic offloads its "customer
The advanced practitioner who took care of me was thorough and compassionate through some pretty sensitive topics. My wife has seen her a few times and so have I. The last time I went she found some issues that were bigger than we had thought and I was able to see a specialist and some physical therapy after. I appreciate her willingness to take her time with me and my wife and, again, be willing to answer sensitive topics without judgement and with professionalism. In medicine, patients need to always feel that they can ask anything about their health and feel safe while doing so. Thank you.
Have to download the CVS App to complete your check-in from the email confirmations. No acknowledgement of presence or indication of a want to help. Checked in at assigned time and was the only person in the queue. Jumped through the check-in hoops with a required symptom checker and depression questionnaire, I had none of. Decided to check the board again to check if everything went through, had the 100% completion. However, apparently I was removed from the queue! Gave up, will try a different location, however this experience has instilled doubts.
I visited the clinic twice in 2 weeks which is unusual but I saw Hilary both times and she was very knowledgeable, friendly and really listened to me to help find a solution. I appreciated her help !
