Middlesex Health Primary Care - East Haddam

I don't know where to start. The nurses and doctors are incredibly lazy and the ladies behind the counter never fail at being rude. I had to get some blood drawn and they kept missing the vein, simple blood work took almost an hour and by the end of it I had bruises up and down my arm from where they were poking me. They are terrible about prescription refills too, they almost always do it way too late, and that's only if they will refill it without making you to come pay for a visit. Every time I've found a good doctor that I liked, they quit, (they go through doctors faster than any practice I've ever seen). I stuck around thinking they would pull it together eventually but things kept getting worse and worse, I can't imagine how they are still around operating the way they do.

The only good thing this place ever had was Patrick Kehl. The rest of the ensemble are rude as well as dismissive to patients concerns. Be sure to find yourself a practice that believes in putting patients first.

East Haddam medical is a great place for care. The staff is wonderful and they all do their best to get us in. Dr. B. is a great doctor and always takes the time to listen before giving care. We as a town are very lucky to have them. Thank You East Haddam Medical

I just love this office. They were super nice and gave me the attention I needed. Dr.Kehl is a great doctor and will miss him so much.I have no clue who to see next.

If you want substandard care- If you want your doctor to change on a regular basis- If you want to pay for an office visit every time you need a refill on an inhaler, If you want to be referred to Urgent care when anything beyond routine comes up- This is your place. They lie about returning calls- It takes 3-4 attempts through the portal and phone calls to get maintenance meds refilled- They can't keep MD's on staff -They are a chaotic mess. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere better- it won't be hard. It is a shame that this is what has become of Dr Gourlie's practice.
