Michael V Cushing, MD at Georgia Bone & Joint

I saw Dr. Cushing for a knee related sports injury and he and the staff were excellent. Dr. Cushing has a great bedside manner, he’s thorough, he educated me on the condition of my knee and provided options for treatment. I had Meniscus surgery with him and it was perfect. Within 4 weeks I was playing competitive league softball and my knee got stronger as I built up the muscles again. A year and a half later and my knee is as good as before the injury. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Cushing to anyone.

Dr. Cushing did my total shoulder replacement surgery end of May at Piedmont Newnan hospital. There were a few glitches and the surgery had to be postponed but he got to the bottom of it and his staff was wonderful. I was nervous going into this procedure and Dr. Cushing assured me he would take good care of me and they did. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Cushing was very personable, honestly cared about my injury and treated my injury thoroughly but did not go overboard. He listened to all of my concerns and made me feel like I was his only patient although he was obviously busy. His staff were excellent as well!! Great team all around

Dr. Cushing was able to diagnose my case, which was a very unusual presentation during the first visit, provide a guided Cortisone injection with great expertise and fully informed my as to Physical Therapy next steps and expectations (up to an including possible future steps up to and including surgical procedures - he laid out the entire roadmap and spectrum of treatment options). He was very personable, professional and thorough. Dr Cushing answered all of my questions and I never felt rushed. He also did a great job with the guided Cortisone injection and made the procedure quick and less painful than expected with his humor and personality. I look forward to continuing to make progress with Dr, Cushing and Georgia Bone & Joint (my Physical Therapist is also wonderful to work with)

Did some research before choosing Dr. Cushing and was happy with my choice. I chose my Physical Therapist before surgery and while in therapy received very positive feedback from them as well in that Dr. Cushing’s work is very good and allowed us to begin work on recovery without fear of any problems. Considering the shoulder pain after the surgery, the PT’s feedback of past experience with Dr. Cushing’s work gave me comfort that I wasn’t going to do damage to his work while putting in the work for my physical therapy.
