Miami International Cardiology - Miami Lakes

Horrible receptionists and customer service in Miami Lakes office. I have left three messages over the course of several weeks which were never returned, was unable to be connected to anyone who speaks English, was on hold four times for over 25 minutes, and when the receptionists do not know an answer, they transfer to a machine to leave yet another message into the abyss. If this is how they handle their business of answering a phone and helping with basic requests, how good can the care be, or keeping medical records straight, or handling insurance properly, or ANYTHING. Absolutely ridiculous.

The staff here is rude, unhelpful, and will actually lie to you. It's too bad because I liked my cardiologist of several years, but he moved to this location and the practice is so bad that I will never be coming back. Staff member called to confirm my appointment at the new location and gave me the wrong address (I had her say it twice), which sent me 10 miles away into a bad neighborhood. That same staff member ALSO told me they are in-network for United. Then I show up--after 20 miles of wasted driving--and they tell me it's out of network. No apologies for giving me the wrong address, no apologies for lying about coverage to get me to show up hoping I'll just pay out-of-network rates. I told them they should not be giving out incorrect information like this, and the response was "okay,

I was in the hospital with serious heart issues and afterwards called Dr.Zide for a follow up appointment and no one answers. Always goes to voicemail, what is going on there? Ever since they moved from Pines and Davie it’s been a terrible. Not my fault the parent company’s got a divorce and now we have to deal with the fall out. The front desk ladies are hit and miss sometimes nice sometimes rude. Looking for a new cardiologist, why doesn’t Dr.Cerami at this office address this?

Called multiple times through out the day. each time i waited more than 5 minutes and was eventually put on a voicemail. left information, no one called mack. tried again next day. Nothing. So I gave up. You can tell a lot from a clinic just by their operative service and this is not a good look. If no one picks up the phone, no one is going to take care of you.

I have been a patient of MICC for over 20 years. Dr. Cerami recently detected an issue with a valve in my heart and referred me to two surgeons for me to discuss treatment options. My surgical procedure was a success thanks in part to Dr. Cerami and the early detection by the MICC Team. Dr. Cerami was consistently involved with the post surgery follow up and was very supportive over the phone and via emails. I can't say enough positive comments about my treatment and Dr. Cerami.
