Miami Beach Dental

I'm A New Yorker that came down to Miami in 1992. I've had extensive dental work growing up as a kid and when I came down here was concerned about the care that I would find. I've been going to Astoria dentist with Dr.Oscar Lopez for many many years I have never encountered a problem after any work done or any procedures that I had to undergo. I recommend him. His office, his staff is excellent, friendly and kind. I now travel all the way down to Miami Beach on Alton road from North Miami because he moved his practice. I have no problem getting in the car going down there to be taken care of. So anybody coming out of New York and you know the care we expect. I highly recommended Dr. Lopez. He and his staff are very professional. I'm really glad to make a quickly appointment with him. Was very easy, I call Tuesday and got an appointment for Friday. Not so bad. I did in my first appointment the regular cleaning, with Carolina. She is very professional, and very empathetic. Later the Dr. Lopez came and I request that I would like to fix my front teeth broken. I said that I didn't know if my Delta Dental cover this. He said to me, don't worry, and don't charge nothing to you, only of the insurance pay to me. I love it the office, very clean, well decorated. Nice music. I feel like in my house. I went to Oscar’s office to get a veneer replaced. For some strange reason, Oscar gave me a crown. I am not sure why he did this. I am devastated by what he did to me. This has totally changed the appearance of my smile and has caused a lot of emotional distress. A few weeks ago, I called the office to discuss Oscar’s negligence and was met with hostility from Matt (?), who is the accountant , I believe and is always present in the office. There are other things that are wrong with this office and I do not believe that all of the dental hygienist are certified dental hygienist. I would not advise anyone to schedule an appointment at Oscar’s office. The office has not shown an ounce of empathy toward my experiences at Oscar’s office.

It saddens me to feel compelled to write this review. Honestly, this is the first review (that's actually a complaint) I have ever written. It is not something I do lightly. On May 7, 2021, I went for a routine dental cleaning at Dr. Lopez Dental Office in Miami Beach, Florida. First, it is important to state I did not meet Dr. Lopez and I did not interact with any members of Dr. Lopez’s staff beyond the hygienist / receptionist, the person prompting me to write this letter. So, to be clear, my letter is not a condemnation of Dr. Lopez’s practice as a whole. My experience was solely with the reception/hygienist, whose name I believe to be Leyla. Though, for the record, I am not 100% certain that is her name. And frankly, I didn’t stop to ask her name as I was making a run for the door

CROOKED DENTIST Stay away, he will do any unnecessary work for money even when you didn't need it. Including pulling your teeth out, root canals, he did 3 unnecessary root canals on me then pushed to sell me veneers for $$$$$. He is NOT an honest dentist and you will find out the hard way. I don't have a bite anymore, my teeth filling have all broken after 10 months, I have 2 split teeth because of horrible work on them.
