Methodist Specialty Care Center

Does not get much better than Methodist specialty care center while being paralyzed. I was there for 3 years until my mom which is a nurse over heard a nurse using profanity around me towards me and she had gotten everything together for me to go back home with her, which I did not want to. It was basically a illegal discharge because my power of attorney did not approve of the discharge or sign anything. Whenever my mother took me. I thought everything was okay because what type of state of art facility would allow someone on a ventilator dependent leave as a illegal discharge. I have been trying to get back in this place for 5 years now due to being verbally abused daily. I just wish they would have called the authorities whenever I said I did not want to leave. Very clean facility. The staff isn’t very friendly with the new employees. Also, they allow the residents to speak to you in a degrading manner. Administration just says, “Oh they do all the new people like this.”

These folks are amazing. Both the nursing staff as well as the thrapy staff saved me. I will never in my life forget a single one of them. I came in on a stretcher unable to walk or eat and walked out 3 months later and I eat anything now. God bless each one of you! Joseph Goddson. Room 310

Do not take your love one to this facility. They refused to let us see our mother even with a court order. This how people with black or brown skin gets treated. Our mother suffered mental and emotional abuse and neglect.

This place is horrible. This is a place to put your loved one to die. They do not deserve one star. They have an answer for all their abuse. IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER, TAKE THIS PLACE OFF YOUR LIST!!!
