MercyOne Genesis Davenport Convenient Care

Took myself and my two kids today. As we are waiting for our name to be called, the receptionist looks up leaves the seat then takes care of whatever is going on side of the Lobby with people piling up behind us. When she finally sat back down, she calmly called our name by that time we had been sick for over 10 days with fever ranges of over 100 to 102 she never offered us a seat while she took over the lobby and was very dismissive. She had me put on a mask, which I accepted, and then said she couldn’t hear me. I Lost my voice with this sickness and it hurt the entire time I talked… She did not ever say you’re welcome thank you or offer any sort of convenience. Just got turned away from this facility because it was an hour before closing and they weren’t interested in helping anymore patients for the night. All I wanted was a simple d-dimer test to see if I had a blood clot because I had an unexplained pain in my leg, and they blatantly lied saying they couldn’t do that. My daughter had one done the day before, at the same place! They did advise me to go to the emergency room, kudos for caring. $$$ Needless to say, I now understand the frustration our community feels about this inconvenient care facility.

Do not go to this "convenient" care. I was left in a room for forty five minutes, saw one nurse and one NP to maybe three minutes. I was asked what I wanted to be tested for, which I'm pretty sure is their job, not for me to order off a menu like McDonalds. I left at 7:30 because the staff were leaving. No one came to see me after about 7, although the one test they did run had come back. I finally took out my phone and looked at the test results on the app. I will never come to this location again, and I'm considering giving up MOG altogether given how sharply the quality of service has declined since the take over.

If you’ve ever wanted the full “medical mystery with zero resolution” experience, this place delivers. I came in for help and left feeling like I’d starred in a low-budget horror movie where the real villain was the doctor grilling me about my own prescriptions. Waited days for test results (normal, sure), only to get negatives across the board and still no idea what’s actually wrong—just vibes, confusion, and a dash of existential dread. At this point, WebMD giving me five different life-threatening possibilities feels more comforting. Honestly, I’d rather camp out in the ER with a lukewarm vending-machine coffee than step foot in this practice again. At least in the ER, someone pretends to care before they disappoint you.

My husband went here yesterday he was having an eczema flare up and nothing was working for him. So he decided to go here for help and they literally look at him like he was dirty and told him he had scabies when in fact he did NOT and if he would have used that cream it would have made his eczema a lot worse. This place sucks I would recommend never to go here at all they didn’t even listen to him when he told them he was diagnosed with eczema at a young age.
