I had a mental health crisis. I'm a Gulf War and later Iraqui veterans. I earned a Bronze Star for my actions. Am diagnosed with PTSD and also severe depression. Somehow i made it through 20 years of service and retired. My mental mental breakdown was pretty severe and they took me by ambulance to the ER. The staff was immediately by my side and were unbelievably calming. I was able to finally relax and chill out in about 15 minutes. The staff at Mercy are some of the best I have ever encountered. Answered all my questions promptly and came immediately when I had a need or a question. I can't say enough about the nursing staff that night. The MD on staff was equally as cordial and efficient. Thanks much guys!
I needed a doctor's note for work to verify I was sick enough to call off. I stopped in here because they were not busy. No delay getting in, but the nurse who took my blood pressure was not competent. She put the cuff on over a thick sweatshirt, and pumped it up so far my hand was going numb. Ridiculously high reading, and didn't say anything about it. The doctor saw me for a few minutes and did write the note for me. The bill I was given was astronomical for the few minutes I was there! I will be checking this with my insurance company, but I honestly suspect some insurance fraud is happening here. Edit: I called my insurance company and this is being reviewed.
If I could give it a negative stars, I would My son came in because he seemed like he was having trouble breathing or something he ended up getting diagnosed with croupe He’s five years old, so that’s why I didn’t think it could be something like that. The only thing that they did was take his vitals and give him oral medication, just Motrin and an oral steroiod. But anyhow, the doctor only seen him for five or 10 minutes and we were only there for a total of 30 minutes. And we get a $2000 bill from the hospital and over $1000 bill from the doctor. And we also have insuranc. Don’t not go there unless you want to get way overcharged. It’s not right to overcharge people like that. They should do better. And they weren’t busy no one was in there the lady at the front seemed bothered we came
Had fever,, chills, neck/head pain for 8+ days went to the ED in Enon freestanding. Got back quickly but the doctor didn’t take my symptoms seriously. Gave me one dose leviquin and told me to take half a pill at night before bed. Honestly, I’m a heart transplant. Patient and I really think they didn’t wanna care for me there. They don’t know what to do with the transplant Patient you do the same thing as you do with any other patient you figure out what’s going on and you treat them so I felt like he just heard and did something and got me out the door. the next day I still felt like I was dying so I went to Bethesda North and Cincinnati, who took great care of me I’ve now been in the hospital for over a week still in ICU, I eventually got a bed at the Cleveland Clinic, which is where I a
I had a traumatic fall on my wedding day and blew my knee out. I went to Mercy knowing it was the “faster” option, but was truly horrified at the lack of care I received. The nurse who initially took vitals and assessed me was kind, I’ll give her that, but did not properly provide care for me. I reported severe pain in my leg and was not offered an ice pack, elevation, literally anything. I was sobbing in pain and was not addressed again until I (out of desperation) used my call light 40 minutes later and another nurse sauntered in to turn the light off and nonchalantly say that the doctor would see me when they’re done with another patient. Okay. I get it. It’s an ER, people could literally be coding in the next room! I would never have gone if it were not an actual emergency. But you ha
