The nurses and doctors here are amazing. After spending five days here with a loved one, I am grateful for the care my loved one received. What I did notice was that there are not enough nurses. The nurses were stressed. When my loved one pressed the call button and no one came for awhile, I went to ask the staff for the much needed items. My loved one almost did not get fed for a whole day bc they had switched her rooms. She got a snack by 4pm because I went searcjing. Patients were hanging out the door asking for essentials. I felt incredibly stressed by watching staff. I sincerely hope management sees this and is able to hire more nurses/staff. Additionally, I do wish the doctors and staff talk to each other. I got asked about 50x what procedures had been done. My family and I receive

I want to start by saying the surgeon who treated my sister was amazing and ensured she received the procedure she needed. We are very grateful for their skill and care. Unfortunately, our experience after surgery on the hospital floor was very disappointing. Once my sister was transferred, she seemed to be treated more like a number than a patient. There was very little empathy or communication from the staff. When we asked for assistance, the nurses often seemed bothered or rushed. When it came time for discharge, everything felt extremely rushed. My sister was moved to a smaller room that appeared to be in worse condition than the previous one. The room had visible mold in the shower, a leaking air conditioner, and overall poor cleanliness. During our stay, housekeeping was rarely seen,

I was very sick so much of the time I was intubated , but the care I remember was very good. The nurses were always kind and receptive but several of the doctors were rude and did not want to take up any time to answer my questions. One even said, “ I don’t have time for this, I am very busy”. As a patient, the staff should always have time to answer questions. They would pop in for 30 seconds and be gone. I am grateful I was able to get home and to rehab but these drs who think they are “ God” need a wake up call!

I love Memorial Health. The Women’s Islands Dr. Bostwick Team are very friendly. Very organized. They work as a team. I love Dr. Bostwick and Dr. Karin. They’re very knowledgeable and they take time explaining and answering my questions. I feel cared and taken care of. I had a surgery at Memorial Hospital at 4700 Waters Dr, from the parking, to front desk, to registration, to admitting me, to the procedure, until I went home was a great experience. Staff are very friendly, passionate with their jobs, they really took care of me. It was very smooth and stress free. Dr. Bostwick performed the procedure, she is a great doctor overall! I had a great experience!

My surgery at Memorial was absolutely perfect and I could not have asked for a better team to take care of me! Everyone was so kind, informative and overall wonderful. If you are stressed or anxious about an upcoming procedure, don't be! You will be in great hands🫶🏻
