While knowledgeable I'm sure, I found Dr. King condescending, dismissive and have never felt more like just a number. It was as if scans for skin cancer were things she had to do for money...but so boring and routine she couldn't wait to get out of the room. Considering how long the wait is for dermatology appointments you'd think they could give some actual attention to others skin and wellness questions you might have. She was just referring me to their cosmetology practice while walking out the door! Turns out...my other concerns were legitimate to the point insurance (which avoids paying for anything they can) agreed surgery was warranted. Of course I took those concerns (and that $$) elsewhere.

A 1 star is extremely generous!! I have been a patient of Dr King’s for many years. I recently experienced a serious skin issue on both arms for over 3 months. It took over 9 days of phone calls to get her medical assistance to return my phone call. I left 2 messages one day and when I called a 3rd time I got the receptionist. She indicated she would call back to them to make sure they call me back. So my question was do they not call everyone back? During this time my primary dr was so concerned she was contacting me every other day to check in on my skin infections. Once I got an appt with Dr King she was disrespectful, condescending, would not listen to me and/or listen to understand what I was experiencing. She did not ask questions to better understand or be able to diagnose

My daughter visited Dr. King with an urgent and painful skin condition. Dr. King said she suspected an auto-inflammatory flare but showed little empathy to my daughter’s pain. It was obvious that she was trying to exit the room as soon as possible and wasn’t interested in helping us find any immediate pain relief (suggested Advil and warm compresses). She prescribed an antibiotic and said to come back in a month, but would not discuss possible treatment for the underlying cause. We went to Patient First afterwards, and a PA there was very kind a gave my daughter shot with prescription-level pain meds and oral steroids for the inflammation, as these are common treatments for her condition. I think if you have no skin issues, Dr. King might be fine. If you have something you’re concerned ab

I was concerned about a skin condition several years ago and didn't have a dermatologist. Back then I went to the only dermatologist I could find who was taking appointments, but I was always treated by a nurse or a PA, not a dermatologist. Eventually I found Dr. Melissa and she is outstanding. Easy to get an appointment (within reason, remember other dermatologists typically take 6 months), always helpful and professional, and she never expects her assistants to do all the work. She always makes time to check my condition. It's a relief knowing that I have a dermatologist I can rely on.

Went for first appt with her after 2 with her nurses. She had group of interns there and did not look at my condition. Told me to come back for full body. I was still charged for visit. She is rude and quick. Got new doctor at another place and doing better now.
