a very disappointing experience. As soon as Dr. Madarang reviewed my medication list, he focused entirely on the fact that I take medication for anxiety. Without asking questions or discussing my overall health, he stated, “You don’t need a doctor, you need a psychiatrist.” I felt dismissed and judged. I came in seeking primary care for legitimate medical issues, including knee arthritis and other conditions, but he showed no interest in addressing them. The appointment became solely about my anxiety medication rather than my physical health. Because I did not feel listened to or respected as a patient, I walked out and told him he was not the right doctor for me. I was looking for a physician who would provide comprehensive care, not make assumptions or disregard my concerns.
