Meijer Pharmacy

I called ahead of time to make sure they had the med in stock. I gave 1 of the 3 male pharmacy associates my script. They told me it would be 30 to 45 minutes. So I started walking around the store looking at items, when I got called back to the pharmacy 10 minutes later. Unfortunately, my doctor's handwriting is a little messy & they questioned whether my script was expired or not ( it was dated for September, but they kept arguing with me that it could've been from July, so they couldn't fill it My doctor's office was closed but I ended up getting a hold of him by leaving a message on an after-hours phone call. I told him what happened and he said let me speak to the staff to assure them that it is a current prescription. I tried to pass my phone to the pharmacy staff so they could hear

I'm done with both meijer pharmacies. I went to drive through because an old lady started arguing with me over who was next in line. While in drive through, they said our system is rebooting, come inside. So, based on other peoples' reviews, they were probably messing with me.

They expect you to do their job. They just hit refill and won’t check to see if it’s even your current physician…. And when they don’t get a response… it’s your problem to fix it. They were trying to message a Dr that’s practice had been closed for 2+ years! No wonder you haven’t heard back! All the while…. I get no refills. I’ve even had them fill the wrong QTY for my scripts and then want to charge me my co-pay 3x for 1 refill as they had to refill it 3x to get the qty right. “ I’m sorry… the system forces the co-pay with each refill” I made them fix that!!!! And then had the pharmacist tell me it was MY JOB to check qty refilled before I pulled off. Again they expect you to do their job! They have no app for your phone! Always an issue when it comes to filling ADHD medication. "Any" other prescription always ready immediately! The male pharmacist is amazing, the females make everything an issue. This isn't even an insurance paid medication. It's count, print label pay cash and after an hour, she says another hour. I want to note that the wonderful male pharmacist did ask me if I needed right away, I told him an hour and I got another hour when I arrived. You cannot bank on this pharmacy for "any" short notice. I'm tired of being screwed with over these medications. There's no reason for it!

Update: I've tried a few other pharmacies. They were even worse! I've since came back to Meijer's and things have gotten better. Prescriptions have been filled faster and lines seem to move faster. Original post: Poor Pharmacy. Probably understaffed. Routinely takes several days to fill prescriptions. Often out of very common prescriptions. Poor communications. But I liked the app. I stayed with them for to long. Taking my families prescriptions to somebody else that hopefully does not have these issues.
